*+*+*MY FABRIC'S*+*+*

These are the fabrics I am going to use in my patchwork quilt for our bedroom! I may add more. I am not too sure yet. This is my first attempt at patchwork, so we will see how I go. I have been looking at patchwork blogs so much lately and trying to learn how it's done. I have also been buying books to learn from them. I so want to learn this craft. So please look me up now and then to see how I am going and leave some feed back so I can learn from your skills and idea's. Thank you!

  2. Hi Jilly. Matt and I had a proper talk tonight about our marriage. He said he doesn't want to treat me like a child and want our marriage to be equal. I let him read your last comment and he said if you don't want to lose your friendship which I don't then ask Jilly for advice on stuff like Godly submission. He said the only rule we going to have in this house is respect. Respect for each other and other people. So I changed my profile. Please have a look and come back to following me. I need your friendship badly and want to be a good christian. I just need someone to teach me. I believe God brought you in my life to teach me how to be a Godly wife. Sorry if I'm dribbling.

  3. Hi Rochelle, heaps of hugs to you and Matt.

I believe Matt is right... both husband and wife are equally important, and different, and we need to respect and love each other. In sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, we definitely know both sides, we carers!

I am following your new blog. I am also a Christian and as my hubby is an athiest tend not to go for the 'There must be a head of the household' line many Christians spout. DH and I are a team. Sometimes one of us isn't well, and then the other must lead... but still get input.

Anyway, now I'll go post on your blog!

  4. Jilly, your fabrics look lovely. I am not very good at sewing... I think God prepared me for life as a breadwinner by making me not very domestic! :) I actually broke down crying with trying to use sewing machine in Year 7 as I was so bad at it.

I love seeing all the beautiful improvements you make to your home... you are such an inspiration, especially not relying on men to do the jobs for you :)

    Have a lovely week.

  5. BTW, you can list the Blogs you follow (like mine LOL) by adding a Blog List gadget on the layout tab when you are editing your blog. I'd appreciate it if you could do this.

About Me

My Photo
First and foremost, I am a child of God. I am married with 2 grown children: a son and a daughter, plus a son-in-law. I love long walks along the beach with the love of my life, my husband. I love the first fire for the winter - it always smells so good and it doesn't take long for the whole home to be warmed up. I love the smell of fresh bread baking in my kitchen. I love the look on my family's faces when there are fresh biscuits cooking in the oven. I enjoy my family very much and love going out with them and spending time around them. God gave me the most wonderful man and the most beautiful Children - all 3 of them!
