Before I was a Mum I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mum - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mum I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mum I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mum.
Before I was a Mum - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mum - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mum.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mum.
And before I was a Grandma, I didn't know that all those "Mum" feelings more than doubled when you see that little bundle being held by "your baby"...
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mum or Grandma. I just did.
And remember that behind every successful mother... Is a basket of dirty laundry.

This is a reply to a post on my Dear Friend and Sister in Christ's (Glenys) excellent post I couldn't post it on hers blog because it was to long so I hope no one mines me putting it here!!!

I have always been SAHM until a small time in our lives together at about age 34 I went out to work mainly because of pressure from outside the home (a family member). Anyhoo, I got a job as a waitress, which I really loved, and at first the extra money was good. We enjoyed the extra little things we could have, but as we were coming to the end of about 18 months, Joshua's epileptic fitting went from 2-3 times a year to 2-3 times a week. It was very hard for all of us!

We took Joshua to our Doctor to see what was making this happen, and after awhile of talking to us and Joshua, the Doctor said that Joshua was stressing so badly for me to be in the home that the fitting would only get worse (Joshua is also autistic, epileptic (now), partially deaf and has brain damage), and the loss of mama in the home was just too much.

My health was also suffering, to say nothing about the fact that Antony can’t cook to save his life. Even when I left dinner cooked and all he had to do was heat it, the poor guy would burn it!! :o(

One night I got into bed at about 4:00am and Antony turned over and said, “Could you please stop working because if you don’t, three of us are going to cease to exist!” :o)

I had guessed the night had not gone to plan because when I got to the front door I could smell the food he had burnt pitch black!! It was bad!

I gave my notice that week and our family has never looked back!!

Do I wear designer clothes? NO. Do I wear shoes that cost $895.00? NO. Do we live in a big home? NO. Do we drive 2 big 4wheel drives? NO. Do we have big bank accounts? NO, and the list could go on……………………………………………….!! So many people I know have these things, but it’s funny - I don’t miss them. I am so happy with what we have; God has been so wonderful to us!!

We are the happiest family I know. We love each other, we love our wider family, and our family loves us. At the end of the day, that is all I could ever ask for! Our bills are paid, we are ahead with our mortgage and we know that our supply is not us but God!!! We have just paid off a 50” plasma T.V. that we had on lay-by, and on the way down to pay the last payment, we were in the car praising God that He had helped us pay it off! Sometimes I think when people are rolling in money, they perhaps forget to remember where that blessing came from. But when you have to thrust God for it and perhaps lay-by or save for it, we remember to trust God that bit more!!!

Just a thought; a big thought, but a thought none the less!!!

I saw the saddest thing today, a wife going off her face at her husband because he wasn't doing what she thought he should of being doing at the supermarket.

It was so sad to see this man being made to feel like rubbish and his self esteem being corroded away!!! I hope and pray that they find their way in life together.

However it reminded me to never attack Antony's heart or self esteem at anytime because I am sure that as a man it's not a good feeling at all!!!! The Bible tells us clearly to love and submit to our Hubbies and yelling and screaming at them in the supermarket or anywhere is not loving or submitting to them!!!

My prayer is that I always submit and love my Hubby at all times and that I build up his self esteem and encouraging his manhood not diminish it!

I am so blessed. I have been so sick with the flu for days now but my Precious Hubby has just been so wonderful with looking after me and lighting the fire so we stay warm!! I am so grateful to God for my Sweetie! (Antony)

~A Big Scare~

I love this - it's so true!

Last week we found a large lump in Ant's back. It was so scary! We went to the Doctor about 3 days later and, after all the worry and fear, we were told it was an infection and all he needed was to take some antibiotics!!! Praise God for Doctors and medicine. I am so grateful that my precious Hubby is going to recover and be just fine!!!!

I would not cope if I lost him - he is the love of my life!!!

Thankyou Lord that you do keep us safe!

Today we celebrated our *30th Wedding Anniversary* Thankyou God for bring us to this day!
30 years ago I married the love of my life! We have had 2 wonderful children and gained a precious bonus son! We have also gone through so many ups and down in that 30 years. However, we were never short of love! God has brought us through so much and it has been truly the best 30 years!
It has been so filled with laughter, tears, blessings, problems, memories, joy, peace, random acts of great kindness but most of all *LOVE*!!!!

I am so grateful for the love that we have and do still share……..I put my trust in God that we will continue to share our love and lives together!!!

Thankyou Antony, I love you more than I can say!!! You are so strong, brave, wonderful, precious, honest, trustworthy, patient, kind, handsome, cute, sweet, caring, sexy but most of all LOVING!! Thankyou for 30 wonderful years, my Honey. I now look forward to the next 30 years together!

Not the sharpest tool in the shed

I love daffy duck his so cute.
Well I just did the dumbest thing ever. In my quest to get rid of the sinus headaches I have been suffering, at my beautiful daughters suggestion, I took 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and mix them together. Then I nuked them for 20seconds and promptly drank it. Well I have never felt so sick in all my life. With my heart racing, sweating like a little pig, bad vision, legs aching and feeling so bilious I rang my mum for advice on what to do.
When I had finished will my little tale of woes my Mum burst out laughing and said honey (no pun intended of course) it's 1 teaspoon of each. Not tablespoons. I had heard my daughter wrong. Man oh man I am such a dits I can't believe I got it so wrong. Oh well just another funny family story I guess. Mean while I still feel like I just want to through up!

Welcome to my kitchen. I love my kitchen because I make so many yummy things for my family here. Also, when the children were young we had a table where the island bench is now. We spent time laughing and crying around that table. If I remember things right, that was where our precious daughter told us she was really in love. A few years later she married that boy, now our darling son-in-law. We made many precious memories at that table. I miss that table so much.
However, today I am making chocolate-chocolate chip biscuits!

Well, today has been another good day. I got a lot done in my bedroom so thats good tomorrow should see me finished. I also got a lot of cooking done some spare meals for days that I work hard on my home it will save money on not having to buying take aways. YES GO ME!!! I know God has helped me do this much He is so wonderful. I love Him so much for what He does for me. The birds that sing, the gentle breeze that blows, the blossom on the tree out side my kitchen window, my silly chooks that cluck all day, my naughty cats Anna/Belle. My precious family and friends on FlyLady. My wonderful Hubby (the love of my life) There is just so much I am thankful for! I can almost not contain it thats how wonderful and precious God is to me!

Well things are going really well here, our room is coming along nicely. I am painting roses on the walls now then the pine trim goes up and then we can move back into our new room again. It's been fun sleeping in the lounge but I am looking forward to having the lounge room back as a lounge room. It's a beautiful day today the sun is shining and it's cool but not cold. The home is quiet Ant is eating breakfast and Josh is still asleep all I can hear is the dryer working it's nice. Anyhoo I will be back later those roses wont paint themselves ;-)

Well today has ended better than it started the doctor was a good help so all is going well. Ant has a long way to go but at least things are improving now. I can't say I feel safe but I do think I am safer than I was last night!

My heart was broken into a million pieces last night my Hubby had a bad break in his recovery he got so upset about life that he put his fist through a window just to deal with frustration and anger. I don't know how to help him other than to Pray. I also made him an appointment with the doctor today and rung the autistic ass. for some advice if you could pray for me that I will have wisdom in this situation I would appreciate it greatly. I have not had any sleep so I may try for some now.

A Family Night So Much Fun!

Hi, I haven't been here in a while. I have had my Sister over from the Eastern side of Australia she goes back on Sunday morning at 5:30am. So I shall miss her a lot when she goes back:-( However it's been great having her and her family here for almost 3 weeks. Tonight I took up some trousers for her before she leaves and I made her a necklace to wear to a wedding she is attending on Sunday evening. So we had fun making things and eating home made Chocolate Eclairs I made this afternoon. It's been really fun! However it is late and I must go to bed so I shall say good night before all of this reminiscing make me cry.

~A Family Drive~

Just one question! Why does slate sealer smell so bad? Honestly it stinks and gives me such a bad headache ;-D

Today we went for a wonderful drive so our floors could dry so we didn't get a bad head. Josh didn't realize that the floors hadn't dried fully and walked on them so we have his shoe prints on them. Never mind I will put one more coat on them on Tuesday when we go out for a Birthday Party with our family. Poor Josh he felt so bad I had to tell him it was me that told him he could walk on the floor. ;-D

Hi there, I had a great day with my Sister and my Nephew we went to HJ's and it was a good time having fun talking and spending time together. Please Pray for my niece she is very sick and I don't want us to lose her. She is such a Precious young lady and I love her with all my heart.
To night I am going to spend time with my wonderful Hubby and Son. I heard from our daughter today it was great to hear from her I know and am happy she is happily Married but I so miss her.
Well anyhoo I had better go and work my wonder in the kitchen and I shall see you all another day!

Hi there, today I had a wonderful day. I baked up a storm for my family. I made chocolate brownies, chocolate eclairs and a potato bake we took it all over to my Mums and Dads and spent the evening with them and my Sister and her Family. It's so great having my DSister and Family over from the ACT they are here for about 3 weeks. So it's going to be a lovely time together. It was a wonderful time I thank God for my family they are so wonderful. We had so much fun. I missed going to Church but that's ok we will go next week when we can ;-D
I want to get back to Church regularly I miss seeing the people, and that lovely feeling you get from being together with other people that love God as much as you do. I miss praise and worship to so next week it's a date I shall hopefully keep!
Anyhoo I had better go it's bed time in our neck of the woods!

Hi, I am having a great day it didn't start off to good but it turned out great. I have started a new exercise and eating program so I am very excited to see how I go. I want to loose 40kilos so I shall tackle it 10 kilos at a time I can't wait to see what I look like in 3 months time. Well I had better go and hang out Mt. Washmore and get dinner done!

Bad Night, Great Day!!

Well today has come and gone and it is nearly time for bed. But I just wanted to come here and say hi and say today was good last night bad because of a bad headache but once I got over that it the day was great. I spent the day, (what was left of it) with Ant and Josh at the doctors and shopping we got everything done and came in under budget GO ME!!!
Then we went out to Dinner at a diner and a long drive though the Aussie bush. It was lovely at dusk all the pretty colours in the sky. Very beautiful!
Well NCIS is on so I shall go and watch it and make so jewelry earrings I think!

This my Magnolia tree it's growing slowly!

Hi I am back things have been so busy. I put more veggie seedlings in my veggie patch today and watered them in. I so hope they grow. Apart from that today has been a slow and relaxing day pottering around the place. Josh is in the shower Ant is watching T.V. at the moment and I am here ;-D
We will be going for a small drive tonight. So that should be fun!
I love drives in the bush at night the shadows on the road that the trees make are so beautiful.

Hi it's Sunday we woke up early enough for Church (Thank you Lord) so it was a great start to the day. The meeting was wonderful great music and a wonderful word I love my Church all the people are so loving. Ant had a bit of upset driving on the way home a nasty driver he didn't want to do the speed limit and Ant did. However I took over driving and we got home ok. We had lunch and then a lovely nap!
Ant got heaps done on the back door and I did the pantry so all was good. Then we went for a drive to Bulls Brook in the evening bought some food and drinks at Gingers and had a lovely night. I was a bit sad I missed a call from our beautiful daughter she rung while I was sleeping so I hope we can catch up tomorrow. I know it's silly but I hate missing opportunity to talk or see my children they are all so precious. Anyhoo I had better go and get ready for bed.

Dinner out

Today was so hot so I did things slowly. I cooked a meal to take over to my Mum & Dads and it was great to have time with then lots of fun!
I also remembered to water our garden the courtyard outside our bedroom door is looking good. I love the lights at night I am going to put more up in the gutters and more in the ground.
On the inside the pantry is coming good. I put up the pine strips and varnished them I must take a photo and post it it's looking good.
Well it has gone midnight so I am off to bed we may not make Church tomorrow as it is gong to reach 38* tomorrow so not good:-(

Another Wonderful Day!!!!

Today has been wonderful our Daughter and Son in law arrived safely at the holiday place. We also had ice-cream at HJ's with my Folks that was lovely.
I got a lot done in my home my lounge room looks beautiful - so cool!
I have just pulled out things from my pantry so I can tidy that up for the beginning of the New Year. I think a lovely tidy pantry makes one love to work in the kitchen!
When your Pantry is in order so is your kitchen and you are able to cook up untold yummies for your precious family!
Anyhoo! I am tired so off to bed for me. Tomorrow is another day full with adventures and challenges to meet and over come ;-D

Hi I am so happy I spent the after noon with my Mum and son while my hubby gave my Dad a computer lesson. Then when we arrived home our beautiful daughter and son in law where home here so it has been a good day. I love family time so it was just so nice to see everyone today.

Today went really well, I awoke at midday I know that sounds bad but I didn't get to sleep till 6:30am so it's not that bad.
I went out and did some food shopping and had my nails done they came so good. I had the girls paint little daisy's on them I just love them and so does Ant.
Ant, Josh and I went out for dinner and a drive after dinner so it's been a good day. I also heard from my sister that was wonderful just to chat and have sister time very precious.
I also heard from my daughter that was great just to sit and catch up together!
Well I had better go and put the groceries away and then into bed.
Then wake up in the morning and we do it all over again;-D

We went to church today it was wonderful our Pastor spoke so beautifully it was so good. Praise and worship was great too all in all a morning well spent. We came home and had some lunch and a nap.
Then we went out for a drive my hubby was a bit upset in the car. So that was a bit hard, but it all worked out after talking with he for a bit. Depression is such a dark and awful thing I feel so sad for him when he suffers with it. I also find it hard to have to watch someone I love so much go though it :-(.
We have had dinner and now we are watching the movie Pay Cheque a good action movie.
I started a new apron today I am embroidering it - it looks good. It has a little girl going to the market on it. It's really cool!
Josh is in the shower so I have to listen for him just in case he fits.
After his shower we will go and sit outside and feed our fish in the pond outside our kitchen window. It is so nice to watch them, feed and swim around the pond I love time spent watching them.

Hi I have had the best day my family is happy which means I am happy. I have been baking up a storm I made an Apple Pie and it came great it looks really good so I shall dish it up for dinner!
The delicious smell of apples cooking with cloves in it was wonderful.
Now I am cooking chocolate chip biscuits my families favorite. I shall put dinner on soon.
I am also reading though the book of Proverbs at the moment and I am really enjoying it.
Well I shall go and check on those biscuits and put dinner on. I must also go and make Mine and Ant's bed.

This is my first day of blogging so here goes. Today was a good day my hubby, son and I went for a drive through the Australian bush it was so wonderful. The smell of the bush is so beautiful and the wild flowers were so pretty. We stop into our hardware store and bought some locks for our door and then came home for my hubby to put them on the front door and me to cook dinner.
